what are some jobs related to a wedding planner?

December 5, 2008

Well any vendors that work in the wedding business, like managers/assistants at wedding venues, bakeries, florists, etc. If you are interested in getting involved in the wedding industry bridal stores employ sales people, seamstresses, buyers, stylists, etc.

Wedding/event planners themselves need assistants, people that help set up, etc.

Also venues that specialize in weddings usually have wedding planners that work on-site helping couples plan and make decor/food choices for the wedding packages the sites offer. They also help brides/grooms work out and arrange the other details of their day by referring photographers, cake places, etc.

Venues usually also have decorators (contracted out) that do the tables/head table for the wedding and help couples choose colours/decor if the venue itself doesn’t provide a planner.

Good Luck!
