What is the going rate for a wedding consultant?

June 6, 2009

Is it a flat fee or by the hour?

The rates usually depend on what you need. You would be looking at spending anywhere from $1,000-$3,000.

Most offer a free consultation, which is very convenient to find the right fit for you.

Most wedding planners avoid charging by the percentage of the over all wedding, because it is to easy to be sued.

  3. I paid a flat fee of 1,200.00! She did everything and it was wonderful! I would highly recomend geting one! She did cake, orders, invites, decos, horse and carrige. ect! I don't think I really put 5 hours into my wedding other than my dress, picking out the cake, and the reception hall and where we were having our honeymoon! Best of Luck and congrads on your wedding!

  4. It's usually 10-20% of your total wedding cost but it really depends on what you have them do. Some help plan from start to finish but you can hire someone just for the day of to deal with any issues that come up.
