How to become a wedding planner?

I’m planning on majoring in business next year but I think i want to become a wedding planner. what does it take to become a wedding planner? If you are one, what kind of degree do you have? I’m not interested in starting my own business right away though. what else can i do?

If you have no experience or references, nobody would like you to plan the weddings for them. You need to have a good portfolio.
